Craft Projects
Here are some cloth baskets that are actually crocheted with strips of material. I found the material for these at the dime store already cut. It came in rolls, but it had been there for a long time; and the prices had been marked down several times. These are worked with a large number Q crochet hook. Once you get used to working with the cloth, they work up pretty quickly. They are also surprisingly sturdy.
I made this bear for my daughter in blue. It is crocheted using a Size F/5 or G/6 crochet hook and then stuffed with regular pillow or toy stuffing.
This rug is also worked with a large number Q hook, working with three strands of yarn at once. I made one of these in three colors of blue for my mother's bathroom, then worked the flowers, one in each color of blue. They are done with a much smaller crochet hook, of course, a size H/8.
