Reclaiming the Jungle - During

2005, during the process of reclaiming this area.
Here's the terraces from the top, April 2005, looking towards the screen porch. As you can see, the rock walls of the terraces are much more visible now. Taming the wild grape vines looks more "do-able" now. More photos to be added soon (or check out the rock garden page for more progress!) The redbuds & dogwoods that we saved are in bloom. 04/10/05. A nice day to take photos. Sun was shining, lots of things in bloom. 04/10/05 Here are more jungle blooms. My porch swing is inside the screen porch, so this is the view I can see from my porch swing. Last year, you could barely see the top of the rock garden. This year, it's pretty visible.
