Our Past Pomeranians

Poms We Will Always Remember:

I moved these ancestor photos here for a couple of reasons.  We have kept puppies from past litters (out of the parents below), raising them up to adults, and to keep the bloodlines of these excellent Pomeranians going.  Here, you can look over the ancestors to some of our Pomeranians and see what they looked like and see their pedigrees also.  I also posted the photos as a way of remembering them.  It's sad to lose a wonderful friend.  They are just like family members.  Some people just don't realize how much dogs give to us.  They give love, but they also give themselves.  When you're sad, they know it and try to comfort you.  When you're happy, they're happy too.

Our First Pair of Poms:

Teddy was our "Old Man of the Mountain".  He was our foundation male and turned 8 in October 2005, but he was still the King.  Teddy had a triple-coat (rather than the standard double coat).  He weighed around 7 lbs.  Teddy died on 6/12/06 at age 8 years & 8 months.

See, he's mostly hair. He just had a bath, and can't do a thing with it!

Here's Ted, fresh after a bath.  He was all fluffed out.

Quite the Champion Quality pair.

Tinker and Ted play a game of ball, or maybe he was playing ball and she was playing catch me if you can?

When Ted got a little over a year old, we got him a wife, Vixen.  Photos of Vixen and Teddy above.  We lost Vixen in December, 2001.  She was my baby, and I miss her greatly, but the Pomeranians were and still are my first love.

Sugar

This is a photo of Sugar Mountain Snow Storm (Sugar).  Her color is called cream.  Sugar was Teddy's and Vixen's daughter and had 5 champions in her bloodlines.  She was also one of our "pillow poms".  She used to sleep on her own pillow at the head of our bed every night.  We lost her in labor on 6/12/04, and we all cried like babies.  She will also be very greatly missed.

DeeWee was a cream female that we had for years.  We lost her in summer of 2006.  She weighed 4 lbs.

Toy Soldger was another of our very tiny female poms and an absolute love. She weighed about 4 to 4.5 lbs full grown.  She had 13 champions in her pedigree.  We lost her on 10/25/03.

Sugar Mountain's Li'l Jobe weighed less than 4 1/2 lbs full grown.  He was one of our best sires.  He had a DNA certificate from the AKC as part of their frequently used sires program.  He was absolutely gorgeous.  We have kept one of his daughter's also (Little Miss Magic).

Retired Poms:

Kellner's Cubby Bear.  Cubby has 2 champions in her bloodlines.  Cubby turned 11 years old on 2/28/06.  She is now retired but doing great.
