** Inspected by the AKC on 4/21/04 and found to be in complete compliance with all AKC rules and regulations and with NO violations found.  Our kennels,  dog care, and records not only met but exceeded AKC standards.**  

We have puppies placed with very happy families in Missouri, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky,  Mississippi, New York, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee,  and Texas.  (If you bought a puppy from us, and I forgot your state, send me an e-mail.  I'll add it in!)  

A bit of information about Sugar Mountain: We offer Pre-Spoiled Premium Pets for Sale.  We are responsible breeders, breeding for quality, not quantity.  Most of our dogs have champion bloodlines, some are show quality.  We do not differentiate in prices, care, or treatment between "pet-quality" puppies and "show-quality" puppies.  Puppies are to love, and our breeding programs are designed for betterment of our breeds, to further the best qualities of each breed.  All puppies come with AKC registration papers, except the Cavaliers, which are registered with the American Canine Association (ACA). 

We do not sell to brokers or pet stores.   If you are a broker or a pet store, please do not bother to contact us.  Please note:  We are not a puppy mill.  We are hobby breeders.  We have less than 10 breeding females & we are in compliance with state and federal regulations for hobby breeders.  By law, we are not allowed to sell to brokers or pet stores and maintain our status as hobby breeders, so please do not contact us if you represent a broker or a pet store.  Our kennels, conditions, vet care, breeding records, puppy records, shot/health records, etc. are above & beyond AKC rules and standards.  

Our Sugar Mountain Community  consists of several households, all of  which are each situated on at least 5 acres, some as much as 20 acres.  There are 3 homes in our community that raise at least one breed of dogs.  We raise Cavaliers and Pomeranian pups.  We get only one litter of Cavaliers per year (if that), as we have only 1 adult breeding pair.  Our daughter raises only dachshunds.  Another family (our friends) raise rat terriers and will be raising pugs soon.  We advertise some of those puppies in the community on our website, as the website is also a community effort and largely pertains to information about our homesteading community.  

Please rest assured that, even among all FOUR households put together, we don't raise "hundreds" of dogs.  All of our dogs in the community are well taken care of by their respective families.  Puppies are well socialized and very interactive with their families.  Most puppies and their doggie parents have the run of their respective homes, and all have plenty of room to  exercise outdoors inside fences/kennels that keep them safe from being run over, being lost or stolen, safe from predators, and unwanted or unscheduled breeding.
