A Note to Our Website Customers We advertise puppies on the website before we advertise them anyplace else. We offer them via the website first. Therefore, our website customers have first chance at new puppies. We cannot hold any puppy without a deposit. We start taking deposits, through the website, often as young as 2-4 weeks old. If you send a deposit on a puppy, we keep you updated with photos, e-mails, and answers to any and all questions you may have. So, if you are interested in a puppy, please read all the information on the website regarding parents, pedigrees, etc. It will save e-mail time in questions. The only information not posted on the website includes prices and our address, phone number, and other personal information. This is because we have had some pretty crazy phone calls in the middle of the night. (Yes, West Coasters, there is a 2-hour time difference. When it's 10 p.m. there, it is midnight here!) Our website is not the only advertising media we utilize, but we do offer them here first. Once puppies get 6-8 weeks old, we advertise them on several other internet ad sites and bulletin boards, including USA Free Ads, Lake Ads, Homesteading Today, Pet Ads, and the Animal Trader. In addition to that, we utilize newspaper advertising in 2 local papers, The Ad Tracker and the Trader, which also advertise online for us, plus we advertise in the Kansas City Star newspaper. Therefore, please be aware that the puppy or dog you saw in the USA Free Ads or on our website may not be there for very long. So, if you spend 2-3 days making up your mind, you may lose out on a puppy until more are available. Once we get a deposit on a puppy, we hold the puppy for that customer. However, if we don't have a deposit, it is first come, first serve. If I have sent you information via e-mail this morning, but someone local calls me at noon, I will set up an appointment for them to come and view a puppy in person. If they like the puppy and pay me on the spot, they will take the puppy home that afternoon. We cannot hold puppies for anyone without a deposit or at least confirmation that a deposit is on the way. If you tell me you are sending a deposit, Western Union wire transfer is the quickest way to get it to us. Express Mail does not get here overnight. Overnight mail does not get here overnight. 2-day Priority mail gets here in 2 days. If you tell me you are mailing a deposit, I will wait for 2 or 3 days before e-mailing an enquiry to you. If you send a deposit via one of the above methods, the best thing to do is photocopy the money order and send us the tracking number that the post office or FedEx or UPS gave you. That way, we can track it online and know for sure it is on the way. We will wait the 2-3 days before letting anyone else have a puppy IF we have a tracking number. This is because we also have had people who tell us they will "send a deposit tomorrow". We have waited days and sometimes as much as 2-3 weeks for those deposits that never showed up. Then, I usually e-mail the person and inquire about the deposit they "sent", only to find out they changed their minds without bothering to let me know -- and I could have sold that particular puppy 2-3 times over while waiting for their deposit that didn't show up. So, please don't tell us you're going to send a deposit, if you aren't. Or, if you change your mind and decide not to send one, let us know that too. We do understand that emergencies happen, and that people change their minds. Remember, deposits are NOT refundable after 3 days unless something happens to your puppy, in which case you have the choice of picking another puppy (if available) or getting your deposit back. There are a few efficient methods of getting a deposit or payment to us quickly. Western Union Wire transfer will get here within an hour. US Postal Service Overnight or Express will not work, because they will not guarantee it overnight to our area; however, they will guarantee 2-Day Priority Mail. FedEx will do Overnight Express or Airborne Express, which does get to us the next day (unless the weather is terribly bad and the roads are iced in or snowed under). We really do have people who are willing to send deposits on puppies that are only 2-4 weeks old, and wait until the puppy is 6-8 weeks old to pick it up or 8 weeks old to have it shipped. We normally do not begin to take deposits until puppies are around 4 weeks old or older. I keep those people updated by e-mail with weekly or more frequent photos, and any and all information they ask for (and probably some they didn't). Thank you.
