Livestock 2004

In the spring of 2004, we bought a large GQF incubator.  We also got some golden pheasants.  Then we had a bird project.  We began to incubate chickens.  By the fall Jacob's Cave animal swap, he had built numerous cages to hold the birds and several smaller carrying cages.  We took almost 300 chickens of various sizes to the animal swap in the fall.

We also got a bronze tom turkey and 2 more hens to go with the last lonely little hen we had from the year before.  In addition to that, we got geese again.  So, now we have chickens, geese, turkeys, and pheasants.  Hopefully, with the GQF, we will be able to take all 4 types of birds to next spring's animal swap.  Photos of projects are posted on Livestock 2005.
